Without dropping a single game, Niall claimed the men's singles title in the Short Stature 6 class. Niall saw off Alexander Mekhdiev (RUS) 21/13 21/13 in his first match. He continued a strong form through his second match beating Yohei Hatakeyama (JAP) 21/14 21/19. In his final matches Niall maintained a high standard of play beating Hector Jesus Salva Tunque (PER) 21/9 21/9 to claim a place in the final, where he would play for the Gold against Fabien Morat (FRA). Niall won his final match 21/13 21/9 to take the title.
