Massive congratulations to FZ Forza sponsored player Matthew Cheung who won two gold medals at the FZ Forza Irish U15 Open. Matthew won the boys U15 singles title without even dropping a set beating Fred Robertson from England 21/11 21/9 in the final. He then teamed up with Dylan Noble to win the boys doubles title. The Irish boys beat the English pairing of Fred Robertson and Robin Harper 21/16 21/16 to lift the Gold medal.
Mount Pleasant Open
Great wins for FZ Forza sponsored players Adam McAllister and Alexandra Troy at Mount Pleasant Open last weekend. This was the first Premier Senior event of the season and Adam and his doubles partner triumphed over Leinster duo Dan Magee and Sam McKay in a tightly fought contest 21/18 16/21 22/20. Adam also won silver in the mens singles event.
In the Ladies doubles FZ Forza sponsored player Alexandra teamed up with Kate Frost to win gold in the ladies doubles title, this was another tightly fought match with Alexandra and her partner claiming the title 21/19 16/21 21/14. Alexandra also won a silver medal in the ladies singles event.

European Under 19 Championships
Next up for Adam and Alexandra is the European Under 19 Championships (7th Sept - 16th Sept) where they are both part of the Irish under 19 team. The event consists of a team competition where Ireland will compete against teams from Slovenia, Turkey, Austria and Cyprus, this is followed by individual events. We wish them both all the very best of luck for this huge event!!
